Closure of the Curaçao International Airport for inbound passengers from all countries
In order to safeguard the health and well-being of the Curaçao population and to prevent the further spread of the COVID-19 virus in Curaçao, on March 27, 2020 the Government of Curaçao has decided to close the Curaçao International Airport for all inbound passengers from all countries, including Curaçao residents. This decision is effective Monday March 30, 2020 up to and including Sunday, April 12, 2020.
The only passengers who are exempted and allowed to travel to Curaçao (inbound) are:
- Medical specialists and other medical personnel who are authorized by the Government of Curaçao.
- Persons deemed necessary or specifically approved by the Government of Curaçao.
Exempted are also Medical Emergency Flights with clearance of the Ministry of Health from the Government of Curaçao and there are no restrictions for Cargo operations.
Flights with Transit/Transfer passengers are not allowed, except flights with Transit passengers who remain on board on the same aircraft and ‘Wing to Wing Transfer’ of passengers from one aircraft to another aircraft without entering the Transit terminal.
All passengers may embark in Curaçao.
