Curaçao International Airport has obtained the ACI Airport Health Accreditation

CAP is proud to announce this important safety achievement

Willemstad, November 3, 2020  ̶  It is with great pleasure that the Curaçao Airport Partners N.V. (CAP) announces the recent achievement of the Airports Council International (ACI) Airport Health Accreditation. An important accreditation for Curaçao International Airport as it shows the level of safety provided and the commitment of all stakeholders involved at our airport to keep our personnel, travelers, and visitors safe and healthy at all times.

‘ACI’s Airport Health Accreditation Program’ enables airports to demonstrate to passengers, staff, regulators, and governments that they are prioritizing health and safety in a measurable, established manner while also validating their own measures and processes. It is aligned also with guidance from the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and will help reassure the travelling public that air travel is safe at the accredited airports.

This accreditation validates the efforts made by CAP and all our stakeholders who incorporate this in their daily operations. It serves as a way to a continuous testing of our processes in order to ensure that we are providing the best possible practice of health and safety guidelines.

During this accreditation process, our airport’s Covid-19 measures have been tested as well as the implementation thereof. We are very glad that the best practices we have been implementing from the start of this pandemic, have resulted in acknowledgement via this important accreditation of our airport. Tourists contemplating to visit our island can verify via this accreditation that we have their safety as a high priority and that our airport is a ‘safe zone’ to start and end their travels on Curaçao.

Obtaining this certification is a concrete example of CAP’s commitment to encourage tourism in Curaçao, through the implementation of measures recognized by the most important organizations in the aviation and airport industry worldwide.
